چکیده

This randomized controlled trial of 100 consecutive patients with symptomatic venous insufficiency underwent RFA for mostly C3 to C4 disease. Randomization was done at the end procedures, 80% had saphenous veins, opening a sealed envelope. Patients who wore compression stockings following radiofrequency ablation (RFA) did not have better outcomes than those wear compression. Class 2 (23-32 mm Hg) applied cohort hose weeks. Multiple satisfaction questionnaires were completed by all participants. At 12 weeks, there no differences in occlusion rates (98% both groups), mean Aberdeen Varicose Vein Severity Scores and Revised Venous Clinical Scores, pain scores, deep thrombosis events. Although this relatively small clinical showed that added benefit insufficiency, it is interesting only worn It good know cannot tolerate or whom lighter used will decreased as result. But we also recanalization always accompanied recurrent symptoms. My take home message decline treatment patient long-term

Randomised trial of bandaging after sclerotherapy for varicose veins.

169 legs with primary varicose veins suitable for sclerotherapy were entered into the trial. At the time of injection they were randomly allocated to be bandaged for three or six weeks; patients allocated to the six-week group had their legs rebandaged after the first three week. Patients were subsequently assessed blind at three months and thereafter at yearly intervals.

Intra-procedural pain score in a randomised controlled trial comparing mechanochemical ablation to radiofrequency ablation: The Multicentre Venefit™ versus ClariVein® for varicose veins trial.

OBJECTIVE Endovenous techniques are, at present, the recommended choice for truncal vein treatment. However, the thermal techniques require tumescent anaesthesia, which can be uncomfortable during administration. Non-tumescent, non-thermal techniques would, therefore, have potential benefits. This randomised controlled trial is being carried out to compare the degree of pain that patients exper...

Cost-effectiveness of Radiofrequency Ablation versus Laser for Varicose Veins.

OBJECTIVES Although the clinical benefits of endovenous thermal ablation are widely recognized, few studies have evaluated the health economic implications of different treatments. This study compares 6-month clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness of endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) compared with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in the setting of a randomized clinical trial. METHODS Patients w...

Endovenous radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of varicose veins.

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is the most common vascular disease and represents a significant health care problem in the United States. Reflux of the great saphenous vein is the most common cause of this condition, whose symptoms include varicose veins, leg swelling, skin discoloration, and ulceration. The traditional treatment of this condition is saphenofemoral ligation with stripping o...

[radiofrequency Ablation for the Treatment of Varicose Veins].

Significant advances in the endovenous technique for treating incompetent saphenous veins could change the surgical strategy in patients with varicose veins. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) was approved as a new technique for the treatment of varicose veins in Japan in June 2014. In RFA, the ablation temperature is controlled by a sensor at the upper end of the catheter. The vein wall is heated w...
